Well i fixed it, seems that dinput8 and setting the affinity to 1 core did it, neither worked on I guess that I have to keep the disc image mounted for now and ever. Not a major drawback, but incredibly puzzling. EDIT: Windows rights issue with the folder, the .exe hadn't actually been replaced.
